Enablement
C.L. is a terminally ill client however she is a very determined lady, and wishes to remain as independent as possible. With some assistance she is able to undertake personal care tasks on her own and basically the personal care assistant is there to support her i.e. PCA holding the shower head while client washes her hair. As regards to her dressing she requires some assistance from PCA like to pull up her tights and to fasten her bra.
In spite of her deterioration, she feels that by having the personal care assistant to support her and to offer her assistance only when she needs it she is still able to remain independent in her own home.
